The kitchen app for the whole household

Use what
you buy.

Grozaak keeps track of what is in your kitchen, tells you what to use first, and shows you what ends up in the bin.

Features

Your whole kitchen, in one glance.

Know what to use first

Everything is sorted by the date on the pack, so the food that is about to turn is always at the top.

  • Red · use-by date is here
  • Amber · best before is close
  • Grey · still has time

Update it in one drag

Rice, oil, milk. Slide the level to where it really is.

Add it your way

Scan the barcode, search by name, or type it in.

A list that writes itself

When something runs low, one tap puts it on the shopping list.

See what gets wasted

Every pack ends as used or thrown out. The report adds it up in your currency.

One kitchen, shared by the whole family

Everyone at home sees the same kitchen and the same shopping list. When one person adds, uses or buys something, it updates for all of you.

How it works

Three small habits.

  1. Add what you buy

Scan it as you unpack. It takes a few seconds per item.

  2. Use what is flagged

Grozaak reminds you before the date on the pack, not after.

  3. Say how it ended

Used it or threw it out. That one tap is what the waste report is built on.

No. Scan the barcode on packaged food, or type the name for anything without one, like vegetables or loose rice. Either way it takes a few seconds.

Grozaak suggests a date from the kind of food it is, such as a few days for fresh vegetables. It is an estimate, so change it whenever you know better. Things that keep almost indefinitely, like sugar, get no date at all.

Best before is about quality: the food is usually still fine after that date, just not at its best. Use by is about safety: do not eat it after that date. Grozaak records which of the two is on the pack.

You tell it. For anything you pour or scoop, drag the level to where it really is whenever you notice it has gone down. There is nothing to weigh or measure.

Yes. Send them an invite link or code from Settings and they join your kitchen. Everyone sees the same food and the same shopping list.

Yes. Grozaak is built for both, and one kitchen can be shared between iPhone and Android phones.

It is free to download and to use. Some features need a subscription, which is US$9.99 a month or US$39.99 a year. The price in your country and currency is shown in the app before you buy.
